Mihaela Ion, Adrian Nica and Cristian Popescu have been appointed Senior Associates with Popovici Nitu & Asociatii

Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax is pleased to announce that Mădălina Cotruț has joined the Firm as Senior Tax Consultant, bringing 4 years of experience in Big Four in Bucharest.

Mihaela Ion’s practice focuses on antitrust litigation, unfair trade practices, consumer law, merger control proceedings and state aids. She also assists clients in investigations and in structuring and implementing compliance programs, providing regular training as external legal counsel on all relevant aspects of competition law. She is also involved in counseling IT companies acting in both software and hardware markets. Ms. Ion joined the firm as an associate in 2006. She holds a Degree in Law and is member of the Romanian Bar Association.

Adrian Nica’s area of practice covers litigation and arbitration matters, with an emphasis on fiscal and customs disputes (VAT, corporate tax, non-resident income tax, royalties and repatriation of profits). He is also dealing with bankruptcy and insolvency cases, resolution of assets and restitution claims. Mr. Nica joined the firm as an associate in 2006. He holds a Degree in Law and is member of the Bucharest Bar Association.

Cristian Popescu’s practice focuses on general corporate and commercial matters, in mergers and acquisitions, as well as IP related matters. Mr. Popescu joined the firm as an associate in 2006. He holds a Degree in Law and is member of the Bucharest Bar Association.
