POPOVICI NITU & ASOCIATII has announced today that Mr. Serban Patriciu has joined its Project Finance team, as senior associate.
Serban Patriciu has worked since 2003 as senior associate with Racoti Predoiu law firm and later with Zamfirescu Racoti Predoiu law firm.
Serban Patriciu is an experienced specialist on banking matters, having worked with the National Bank of Romania starting from 1999 until 2002. As legal counsel of the National Bank of Romania, Serban Patriciu has taken part in the negotiations with the European Central Bank to harmonize the Romanian banking legislation with the EU acquis.
Apart from his activity in the central bank, Serban Patriciu has provided assistance on banking law matters to several first rank banks and to other important clients on various banking transactions (such as financing, factoring, swaps, hedging etc.).
He has provided assistance on commercial and corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate projects and capital markets operations focused on assisting issuers and underwriters in capital-raising transactions, clients' communications with the market and with the regulatory authorities.
Serban Patriciu has been involved in major privatization projects in the main areas of the industry, from the energy sector to aluminum industry and has provided legal assistance pertaining to post-privatization matters, including reorganization projects.
